    A thing or two...
Did you add the fuse to the fog light spot or was it already there? One of those blank relay locations is for the factory fog light relay. The relay that came with your kit won't work for what you're trying to do. Do any of the unused relay locations have all of the metal contacts in the slots? Have you looked around where the fog lights would normally be to see if there are bulb plugs taped up out of the way?

The fuse I have in my hand in the pictures is the one that came with the fog light kit I bought. I did not put any fuses or the relay into my truck. Which are the blank relay locations and which is the fog light spot you're already talking about is it the one i mentioned at the top of the box, I'm not sure what you mean by that? Where would I get a new relay for this, If I had to get one. I didn't add any wiring to my truck for this, there were plugs that fit into my fog lights taped out of the way and I just plugged the fog lights that came with the kit into them.

The thing in your hand is a relay, not a fuse.

I circled your fog light fuse in red. Your unused relay slots are circled in yellow. One of them has to be for your fog lights. It's just not labelled on the fuse box lid. If I had to guess, I would say that it is the middle one on the right side of the photo because it has all of the contacts in the slots. Whereas the others don't. The dealership will be able to sell you the relay. The part number should be 90080-87026. The dash switch part number is 84160-04020 if you don't want to cutoff the connector that is there.

Yea I just ordered an oem switch I'll have to see about getting a relay then. What's the best way to go about making sure that slot is the correct relay spot for the fogs, just ask a dealer or trial and error?

So my switch came today I'll be able to connect that and put it in later tonight when I get home. Now I just need to figure out this relay situation. First off do I need a relay, what will happen if I don't have one in and go to turn my lights on, is this a bad idea, will it do anything? How do I know if I'm actually missing this relay and where should it go, my truck was prewired for the fog lights wouldn't it already have the relay in place? Is it just as simple as buying a relay and just plugging it in?

Alright so I believe I found the spot for the fog relay it's in the small box above the regular fuse box. IMG_1845.jpg So now it's just to buy a relay, plug it in and I should be good to go, hopefully.

I got the relay put in and hooked up the switch and they're working just fine. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in helping me out. What would've happened if I had hooked up the switch and tried to turn them on without the relay?

Nothing. They just wouldn't have turned on. The switch allows the relay coil to energize when you turn it on. That pulls the relay contact closed to turn on the fogs. Without the relay, nothing would happen.

    I’m stuck and need help.

2009 base no factory fog option

Ordered some TRS led fog lights and an Amazon harness and switch and add a fuse.

Wired everything up and double checked all connections.

I used the add a fuse in slot number 5 (power outlets) of the dash fuse box. I am still getting power to dash outlets so I know it’s good. Ground wires all have solid connections to bare metal. Still nothing

My switch isn’t lighting up nor do I have power to the fogs.

Got power. Needed a second fuse.

Except now it’s constantly powered despite being on a keyed fuse slot.

I had posted in the 4 cyl forum originally, but maybe here is more appropriate. My 2014 Tacoma is an RC and came without fog lights or wiring. So, I just bought a set of halogen fogs from Auer that came with the wiring and switch. I haven't jumped into the installation yet, but the underdash part looks a little daunting.
