2017 Tacoma 4cylinder tow hitch wiring kit

They don't make any tow hitch wiring kits specifically for a 4 cylinder. Would the 6 cylinder wiring kit work on a 4 cylinder?

 

Isn't the Toyota hitch wiring kit made to plug into a pre wired position on the harness?

If so, you'd have to check and see if the harness in your truck had that.

 

I bought the 6cyl from eTrailer for my 6cyl. I don't see why the same kit wouldn't work. It's a plug and play mostly with the tail lights.

I didn't have the tow package either. Just needed to run a power wire up to the front but already had that for my third brakelight on my shell.
