    Not exactly, but went from a 2013 Baja ACC with MT to a 2017 TRD-OR ACC with AT (my first truck with AT). With ECT I like it a lot. I would have purchased a MT if it came in ACC. I'll get back after some off-roading in the Jemez.

    DCLB here, and I'm happy with my transmission and the truck as a whole. I think driving my wife's car (2015 outlander sport, cvt) helped me get used to the drive by wire experience. Throttle response is definitely different, but once you figure out how to get the truck to do what you want it to it's not that bad. I also really like the crawl control, unlike most people on here. Used it to get myself unstuck multiple times this weekend.

    Test drove last year's Crosstrek before I bought the Tacoma. Couldn't deal with the CVT at all. Feels like driving a mail truck.

    i drove the MT version checking it out for my wife. felt really weak and cheesy... no way i would buy it. no confidence in the build.

    Yes! Didn't test the MT, but "weak and cheesy" sum it up perfectly. So glad I chose the TRD.
