Dad had his oil changed recently there and they put some of this in, I have never heard of it, and I can't find a single thing online about it either.

was it bulk oil or did it come out of plastic quart bottles??

It could be made at any of the refineries then packaged for private label almost any where.

Compass brand oil is some type of "bulk" oil used by AAA service centers in NC and surrounding areas. It is supplied by Pugh Lubricants in Asheboro NC. Neither AAA nor Pugh will reveal where the oil comes from, who makes it, what type/quality oil it is...even after many calls to AAA or Pugh. A big mystery when vehicle owners want to and should know what they are putting in the autos. Would think AAA would want its customers to know what kind of products they are supplying and promote brands that most folks know and trust.
