Last track day of the season done. Head a big moment last session where I locked the rear and drifted into turn 1. Just dropped the bike off at the dealership to figure out why she's idling funny, and have the valves checked.

That's my friend ripping the triumph, he's way faster than me

Nice pics! Glad you managed to keep the shiny side up...I always used to dread the last session when I did track days. Seemed like I was always worn out by that point and fatigue would set in both mental and physical.

And yes, Triumphs are always faster :luvya: I used to have a 2012 Daytona 675r as my track whore.

Hey now, I didn't say the bike was faster. Even though it is....

There were lots of riders on slower bikes that were waaaaay faster than I was. And the 675 had lots more potential that I didn't have the talent to tap into.

It was my experience that at the track day level it's more about the rider than the bike. Riders on 15 year old SV650s were spanking riders on the newest Ducati 848evo.

Yeah I actually beat a couple of guys on 1000's down the front straight because I was willing to get on the throttle and brakes harder. But I'm starting to out ride the breaks and suspension. If I keep racing next year I think I'm going to have to dump some money into the old girl

Brembo master cylinder + ohlins/Penske/racetech = different bike.

You'll shave seconds off your lap times.

I just have race tech springs because I was way too light for stock. But I think I'm ready to go all in hehe

i havent upgraded the suspension on the FZ. The lowest cost rear shock from Penske is $1k. But I also dont track my bike. Street is fun enough for me.

Did you see I crashed my Z125? :(

well not crashed. But looped, and hung on too long. Only bent the shift lever and broke the plate light. And scratched all of the paint from my plate. And ended up with some scrapes on my knees.

Very surprising that I didnt hit any of the paint.
