If have these standard 16" wheels.

I plan on doing a modest lift.

Instead of buying new wheels I am thinking about painting these black.

    What do you think?

I am thinking 2" or 2.5" lift. I don't want to buy new wheels if the 16" alloys are ok.

And I don't want the lift to alter too much from stock.

I need new tires anyway so that's where I would go bigger.

With 16" wheels what tire size works well with 2" lift?

Ok. I have 17" stock off road wheels for 2009.

What tire size is best for 17"?

I may do a modest 2" lift but will get new tires mounted to stock 17" wheels first.

    Would 285x70x17 work?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you need at least a 3" lift to fit 285's. Also going to need to do a lot of trimming and do the CMC Mod, tons of threads on fitting 285's, just use the search feature, its magical

What tire size is optimal for 17"?
