So I was working on my truck off of the tailgate today getting roasted by the sun and it hit me ... why not mount a 4' wide awning on the top of the rear portion of my new KB Voodoo rack? Anyone else done this? I'm definitely going to mount a 6.5' long awning to one of the sides, and my only concern is that the 2 awnings would intersect each other ... so one would have to be higher than the other. Of course I was thinking about mounting my side awning a little higher anyway to clear the roof so I could still open my rear door (double cab) when the awning was extended. @KB Voodoo

Those are awesome, but way too pricey for me.

Yeah that's what's holding me back from getting one. An ARB 1250 should fit fine on the rear of the rack though. I'm probably going to diy one with some unistrut and a tarp to go under my tent and extends off the back.

Yeah ARB 1250 would be perfect for the rear.

I can't believe I just read through all 22 pages of this thread... I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on a short bed mid height rack! Last question: are you planning on coming out with a roof rack anytime soon? If so, will it look super sexy with the tall bed rack and go together all flush and stylish? That could move me toward a tall rack...

A roof rack isn't on our radar, yet.

Gotcha, thanks. Well, I'll be pulling the trigger as soon as the wife gives the okay. Got a short bed mid height in stock? I'm doing the white rim trail in a few weeks and would love to have this bad boy along for the ride.

    Crap, lol

I talked to a guy from Colorado the other day who told me about a fly rod holder that could be mounted to our rack, but I can't remember the name of it....
