Not sure about the 16s, but on my 15 the step bars are held by 6 screws I think. Toyota was going to charge my buddy 2 hours of labor to install... We did it in our work parking lot in 15 min with a single ratchet.

I'd look for a set online that you like and then install them yourself...

Why is a 2.5 year old getting into a car on their own? Tube steps aren't low enough for a small child.
Are you getting up there in age that limits your lifting abilities?? ;)

I have OEM running boards (double cab's on access cab) that are from wheel to wheel. I never use them as steps.

The only time I step on them, is to wash the roof & back window (I'm short and can't reach).

The major benefit ....protection from door dings. The steps stick out far enough so if some jackass beside you opens their door, they'll hit the running boards and not your door.

The OEM running boards will protect a bit more than nerf bars or tube steps or sliders, because they mount higher. Unless it's a big lifted truck parked next to you, OEM boards should protect you. The nerfs, sliders etc sit a bit lower but they still protect you from 75% of the cars out there, especially if you pay just a little attention to who you park next to.

Would I be downgrading as far as door ding protection is concerned if I get a set of OEM Predator Tube steps for my Access Cab? I currently have the OEM cast aluminum running Boards.
