Issue Starting

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, I apologize if it has.

I have an '05 V-6 double cab, long bed, and I am having trouble with it starting.

To start, it's not the battery or the alternator. They have both been tested and are good.

The problem happens when I initially try to start it. When I turn the key to start it I hear a single click. When I turn the key to accessory everything turns on and works as normal.
If I turn the key repeatedly I hear a click every time, but after a couple times it will start like normal. I'm not sure if this is a starter issue or something with the ignition. It seems to go in spurts. I'll be able to start the truck normally for a couple months, but then it'll act up again. I haven't found any correlation with weather or anything else. How long it's been running doesn't have any affect either.

I would really appreciate any help anyone might be able to give.

Easy do it yourself for about 35 bucks for the solenoid repair kit. The link is for a 2.7 liter 4 cylinder, but the 6 cylinder starter looks identical.
