Southern/Eastern Sequoias trip help

For all of you CA guys, i need your help trying to plan a trip up to Sequoia over labor day weekend. im looking for a cool place to go that is fairly challenging and offers me some secluded camping. so far i have heard that Coyote Flats is a pretty cool place and Bald mountain offers some fun stuff too. any input would be appreciated.

 

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

 

what would be the best place to stop if im coming from san diego to pick up a few maps of the area?

 

How was your trip? Any cool photos or advice. I’m scouting out a trip
