    Those of you who have installed them on 3rd Gens, how did you avoid covering up the cutout for the spare tire lowering mechanism?

    Tacky. But if you insist, just buy 2 separate strips and split them @ the spare tire hole.
    If you can only find 1 single strip, most of them can be cut in certain intervals(like every 3rd LED). You will have to resolder the connections, and I would put some clear silicone over to waterproof it. Good luck, and post some pics if you do it.
