New Tacoma owner and, I'm not going to lie, I feel like a bad ass driving it around. Anyways, that's not why I am posting here. I have a 17 TRD Sport and I need a bed extender. Someone on craigslist is selling a Bed Extender and Skid Plate from a 13. Are these unique to second gen models or will they work on both?

    Thanks!

Bed Extender might work but a definite no on the Skid Plate

Can anyone confirm? I'd hate to throw away 125 dollars if it doesn't work.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Bed extenders are different for the 3rd gens. as well. I found one ( a 2nd gen) on Craigslist --I did some research and found out they "may" work but not without a lot of modifications to the way they hook to the rear end of the rear quarter panels. If you are "super" into "modifying" you may get by?

Great, thanks for saving me the aggravation. If I buy a new one should I expect and easy install?
