2017 Tacoma TRD Sport

I'm having an issue with the readable text. I have set it up three times now, and it works for a bit and then it will only allow me to ignore the text and will not read it. I had a 2016 Tacoma and my Iphone 7 worked perfect with it until now.

 

Have you tried to "forget" the current device on your new truck and on your phone and try pairing initialization again? I had to do this with my android, problem was solved. Hope that helps.

 

I just had to do this on my Android. Text messages suddenly stopped coming through on the head unit, and when I would go into the messages "app" on the truck, it would ask me if I wanted to set up messaging. Didn't matter if I clicked "yes", it wouldn't work the next time I turned on the truck. Removed and re-paired the phone and everything works now (except Pandora, which still only works about 50% of the time).

 

Got to bite the bullet and get that subscription to Spotify. You'll love it.
