if I set it up, she wont let me take it down. guaranteed haha. I at least stalled her for a few months by saying we needed a designated outlet beside where we were putting it. now that the outlet is there though... its game on again!

uhh I overheat easily. I don't do hot tubs or "romantic baths" nothing sexy about a sweaty person having heat stroke in a bathtub.

The wall cavities can breath to the outside and interior air exchange is accomplished with an HRV / ERV

Loved the inflatable spa. It was costing about $70 a month so I drained it and put 1 inch foam insulation under it. That reduced it a lot. We did keep it at 98* and would bump it to 104* a few hours before we used it. Usually around 4 evenings per week.

Since we did use it so much it justifies getting a high end 220v spa.

ok ok. so the little bubble wrap insulation mat that came with it wasn't doing a whole lot? what temps were yall using it in when you were maintaining 98*?

It's outside on a cement slab so the bubble wrap didn't do much. I got two sheets of 1" x 4 x 8 foam and cut around the spa after it was filled. It was set to 98*. It would have a 4* temperature swing so the heater would kick on at 96 and off at 100. It takes about 2 degree per hour to heat up depending on the outside temperature.

It still looked like new a year later. I would add about 20 gallons every other week when I changed the filters. Buy them cheap on Amazon ahead of time. Tip fill it 1/4 of the way with the hose then fill it from your water heater or it will take a few days to heat up. I have a new water heater so it only took a couple hours 50 gallons at a time.

Bathroom cabinets arrived yesterday. We cut the holes for plumbing in the vanity then test fit. It fit perfectly. The slide in wall cabinets didn't. Both were too big (error on their end). We were able to reframe the opening for the big one but not the small, so another is being made.

We have a kind of dead space on a kitchen wall that is recesed 11" from the wall in the adjoining room. Like the shallow bathroom slide in cabinets we had cabinets made to take advantage of the space. The end cabinets are 11" deep to match the wall of the adjoining room while the middle is 14". Not standard depths but great storage and a buffet counter where we had none. Primed and ready for paint and glass.

All y'all wanting hot tubs and all. Soon as we closed on our (now ashes) home, first thing I did was to get rid of the hot tub the last owner left behind. Too much energy used. too much spent on chemicals. We spend too much time away from home to even think it useful. But I guess its all kind of moot at this point!

$700 on stretching carpet a few years old sound reasonable?

It needs to be done in our master bedroom and upstairs landing.

Going to be staining my new deck this weekend and have a couple of questions. The deck was built around 2-3 months ago and the wood is dry now. I will be using Olympic Maximum Stain & Sealant Solid Color for the stain of choice.

Do I really have to sand the whole deck before staining or can I just hit the rough spots? Or just pressure wash than let dry and stain?

How many gallons do you think I will need to stain a 10x12 deck with railing and stairs.

Any tips that would help make this process a little easier would be awesome!

Thanks for the help as this will be my first time staining a deck.
