So the dealerships aren't doing their part and the truck has issues. Toyota dealership service and the truck go hand in hand. It's a package deal. One doesnt negate the other, in fact it's just the opposite.

That's a lot of rust belt trucks. It's 6 times the trucks affected by leaky diffs btw. But that's just small potatoes to you I guess.

So, wrong I guess is the proper response. Confirmation Bias. Im not trying to justify anything other than 90% of your issues are easily fixed. You wanted back in a 4rnr, congrats I guess.

My dealership is a literal POS. They do not care to do anything more than tell you I don't have any open TSB's and everything I'm bringing up to them they cannot duplicate.

Whether the dealer fixes them or not a new car should not have as many issues as we have. I will never buy a Toyota again... I've given them a chance 3 times all of which have been horrible.

Toyota Dealerships not taking care of Toyota customers is inherently a Toyota issue. Too often I see the excuse that "it's not the truck's fault that your dealer service dept sucks" ... well isn't that dandy!

It also isn't the Truck's fault Toyota designed and manufactured it with so many issues.

For me the rear diff recall was the straw that broke the camels back. I had just wrapped up all the other fixes except the front driver side axle bushing and hood separating issue and was feeling somewhat confident then my truck went on the recall list and it showed minor weeping like everybody else has posted. didn't want them to take my truck hostage so I'm laying on the garage floor with brake cleaner and a 12 mm socket asking myself why didn't I buy a new truck so I don't have to work on it ? Oh wait I did ! this is stupid. F*** this i'm moving on.

We've gone back and forth in this thread, but just so we're clear, I completely understand your position here. Life is too short to be pissed at a stupid truck.

my point being if the service depts aren't fixing shit, they need to be held accountable. That's why I keep asking what did the dealership say, did you contact corporate?

I agree if the dealerships aren't taking care of yota consumers, that's a BIG YOTA issue. Can you agree that if the dealership was taking care of the little issues there would be less folks looking to dump their 3rd gen? I have read threads where some service depts are taking care of folks, and they seem to be enjoying your truck. Let's look at your situation, you have had multiple issues possibly lemon worthy. What if you walked in and they said, we continue to fix all these issues, but feel your truck is not what we want representing our service dept and Toyota. This sales person will help you find a comparable truck. Would it cost Toyota more money? Maybe up front, but in the long run it would increase sales. So yes I believe the issue is with service depts not helping owners work the issues out of their purchases.

I agree, but what if your dealership took care of the issues? I have had great luck with my truck, and hope any issues will be addressed by the dealerships. Toyota has taken care of me, so I have no reason to doubt then, but if this was my 3rd headache, your dam right I would be looking else where. There is a TV manufacture that I had to fight with for a few months to get a 6 month old tv taken care of, I do my best to never buy from that company any more, and I really like their stuff.

Yes you would, but there are many stated differences in what is read here on TW about different dealerships.

Yeah, that part is pretty laughable. Want an under-powered v6 and 4x4? You're better off going 1500!

put aside the argument of "you get what you pay for" yadda yadda, 2017 trd pro sticker price is on par with a 2017 quad cab ram sport with the 5.7.
just doesn't seem right to me lol

Truuue little backstory we have have a bunch of issues with the new Tundra too and the Tundra I had before. Just haven't been too lucky with Toyota, my uncles tacoma is great and my other uncles Tundra has 180k+ with no issues.
