Being it is on two surfaces in a continuous line it has to be after the fact of assembly. Could of been done during a service visit ?
Thats my bet, dealer did it in a repair.
A lot of times they will jam parts in a car rather than store them out of it.
No way is this sun damage.
Had it done once on a jeep of mine, they screwed up the rear tint by hitting the windows with the stored parts.

I have actually taken a flashlight at night to try and simulate the sun to see if I get reflections off of anything to get a match. There is nothing between the sun and the vehicle except some trees. I couldn't get the mirrors to reflect into that location at all.

Do you have a phone charger cord that might have a short out or get extremely hot?

One set of lines turned up while it was in for service. They had it for 2 days in the shop trying to figure out what the electrical problem was.

Push harder on the dealer. File a case. You'll get it fixed.
What will it cost them $30 for a happy customer ?

Seriously though, there are laser pointers that'll melt plastic.
OP, was the arc you saw green?

If you have a sunroof look at your exterior roof area and see if there's any damage on top of the roof

Belgium Shepherds. They are too hairy, he wouldn't let them in his vehicle.
