I don't have time to get to a gym. So I put one in the garage.

Recently getting into CF and ruined the shoes I was wearing in a mud run. Can anyone recommend a good pair of shoes for WODs. Been looking at the main 3 NoBull, Nike Metcon and Reeboks. Thanks

Say no to cross fit. Just lift, there will be a less likelihood of injury. Just sayin.

I've worn my Reebok Nanos for 3 years now...through rain, snow, workouts, shine, casual wear, and a puppy. Bulletproof.

In my first 5 years of CrossFit, I had Inov8 shoes that finally bit the dust during a flood. For minimalist shoes, they did damn well.

I've had just about every pair, if you have a wider foot like me, metcon and nobulls are the way to go, the nano 2.0 is released for a limited time. I just picked up a pair to wear around the gym. Ive been training with the nobulls for the last year as I love the simplicity and texture of them, the metcons have a little more ankle support though they are a tad bit heavier. Ill be buying another pair of metcons fairly soon.

Anyone following misfit? I just recently switched from comptrain I enjoy the volume but Jesus shit kills me. Anyone doing the 880 cup next Saturday? Also if your in the clovis .ca area come visit my box certus all open arms

How so? Just as likely to get injured lifting/ running etc than CrossFit.

I like my nobulls. That being said I may try out the metcons next. Had Nano 5's and didn't really like them for anything but lifting.

Just an FYI, Nobulls, nanos, metcons all suck for running. I have terrible form which doesn't help, but still they all have pretty minimal padding so if you're doing more than a 400 or they're Garbage and a shoe like the Reebok speed is better.

Agreed on the running, if i know I'm doing quite a bit of running i have my brooks. Its a good thing we usually get our ass's kicked by the devils bicycle or a ski erg

If I tried to bench 315 and squat 405 without knowing how to do the lift properly id be in the same boat trying a 315 squat clean or snatch. Its about learning the correct way. I got hurt from "lifting" though there is nothing like a scoop of pre workout and a huge pump thats why I do a little "lifting" still

Fucking ergs. Ski is the worst. Bike you can sort of half ass and get Cal's still, ski erg you half ass and it gives you nothing.

Typically if you get hurt it's not because of the style of exercise, it's because your doing something you probably shouldn't be, or just doing the activity incorrectly. This could be from yourself having a huge ego and thinking you're going to do something you shouldn't or can't actually do, or poor coaching not recognizing when you are doing something beyond your capability or just incorrectly.

Nice, it was a knock to the ego first day I went and couldn't lift as much as the smallest girl there. Since then I have quit caring and realized I'll get there in time.

Ended up picking up a pair of Reebok Speeds today, reviews I read said they were ok for running. We seem to run alot at our box so figured it was a good bet. Will try the NoBulls when these wear out. Thanks for the help!

Oh for sure that was my first day, had to "replace" my gym mentality. Now I'm good and only try to beat the guy looking back in the mirror.

Not sure what program, but it's CrossFit 413 in Ft Smith AR. It may not be a lot of running just more than I'm used to for sure!
