I have an 06 4x4 double cab with 200,000 miles on it and took it down to the dealer to see if I could get a new frame since mine had holes rusted through it. The only flaw was a couple of small rust holes on a tiny portion of the frame...the rest still looked good because I undercoat it every year. Turns out I can get a new frame...is there anything anyone would recommend buying and giving to them and asking them to just install instead of using the original parts that have 200k miles on them such as hubs, brake lines, or anything else that might be wearing out soon? The truck is in great condition and has never had any problems still runs and drives great. It doesn't need anything replaced the moment, but this would be more of a preventative maintenance thing since the whole truck is coming apart anyway. So far I have recently gotten new tsb leafs, bilsteins on all 4 corners, replaced U-joints so none of that will need to be replaced. The tsb and bilsteins were because I wanted to level it and get some stiffer rear suspension. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of some things that would be smart to replace since they will have the whole truck taken completely apart...I plan on keeping it for a very long time.
