Thanks, It was hard to find a good spot for a clean jump. I was over in Azusa Canyon OHV and the terrain has changed a bit in the last few months due to the snow pack last season. I have a lot of GoPro video to go through, this just happened to be an Iphone video that I had already clipped.

You know, it specifically states in your owner's manual not to jump your truck.

 

Whats "A lot more rebound valving" ?? Typically suspension action is controlled by Valving (Compression valve, Rebound Valve), having a lot of valving doesn't make sense.. see, you can have all the rebound valves in the world, unless its set up to valve correctly it doesn't matter, so he needs either slower or faster rebound valving, not more rebound valving..

 

Valving in a shock is controlled by differing diameter/thickness shim stacks. One stack on the rebound side of the piston, one stack on the compression side of the piston. So more valving, means more shim thickness. I'm sure you already know that though. Even though you are referring to them as actual valves.

Bypass shocks have actual valves to control the amount of fluid that bypasses the piston/ valve stacks at a certain position in the travel, position sensitive vs velocity sensitive. But I don't think he has bypass shocks.

 

You do understand what a shim stack does right? Opening and closing the Valving is what changes most the characteristic of the valving, the shim stack is how aggressive the valving acts, thanks for the response. More rebound valves for everybody!!!

 

Yes, I do, I have actually taken many many different shocks apart and messed with the valve stacks and configurations of said shims, flutter stacks, etc. But whatever. You know everything.
