If you walk away from it. Great story.
If you get carried away from it while still conscious. Awesome story!
If you get carried away from it in an ambulance while still conscious. Epic story!

The larger diameter shims effect low-speed damping, the smaller diameter shims effect high-speed damping. You can adjust the thickness and configurations of the shims to get a desired result. So it isn't just about velocity. Whatever. Semantics.

I'm bowing out of this conversation.

OP, cool video. Looks like fun! Truck did pretty well in my opinion.

My truck only does jumps when I forget to apply the e-brake, and let it roll out of my driveway.

    ...too much shit to list.

I'm not refering to bypass tubes. I'm talking about valve shims. Move valving = thicker shims = slow down the shock movement.

Pretty much his soft shocks tried to suck up the "Hump" and didn't push off to make it jump like a bro truck. Thats why he went nose down shortly after lift off. If he went faster and the nose dove more on landing, the suspension would bottom out, frame hit the ground and air bags might deploy.

    Go faster next time!!!

I know jack about shocks, but this looks like it could turn into a fun thread since it's Friday.

It's ok. The tail lights will fall out before any real damage is done!

Here's some more valves, you're going to need them

(well aware these are not the valve shims used in suspension but rather for a 4 stroke motorcycle engine)

I find dirt bikes great for jumping. Trucks, not so much.

Today it's, Jumping on a small hump. Next week it's, why does my truck not track straight going down the road. lol
