After Market Shock?

Thought I throw this question to the whole forum after receiving no response on the towing thread. My question is does anyone have an informed recommendation to after-market shocks that may help solve my towing issue. I’m pulling a small single axle camper trailer, Rpod 180, with a GRVW of around 2900 lbs. I use a weight distribution anti-sway hitch and also have Super Springs Sumo Shock helpers installed on my SR5 4 x 4 truck. With all that I still get allot of “bounce” from the trailer and am thinking maybe upgraded shocks might solve the problem. Thoughts, recommendations, experiences, I’m all ears! Thanks….

 

Thought about airbags? Or a helper leaf?

Thanks, I'm using Sumo Ssprings, which are somewhat like airbags now. Looking more towards a solution of using better shocks if possible?

 

You need a bypass shock with adjustable rebound. Bp51 or king, maybe Icon omegas.

 

I just reread your post... you mentioned your using the helper springs already. Oops.

Anyway you can add more tongue weight? Add more load to your suspension?

It seems the helper leaves would be enough but maybe they're not under enough load?

As far as shocks go, I dunno. I think anything that is going to help your towing is going to make for a harsher ride when not towing.

That would work but been trying to avoid all the complications of dealing with air shocks. It's a pick'em'up truck not a tractor trailer truck!
