I don't see the need for any cutting. Looks to be a simple installation, remove the OEM and replace it with that. Now with the wiring, you'll have to decide how you want to hook it up.

There are step by step instructions for any sort of led lighting you'd be looking for on here. OEM switches are a nice addition for LED light bars. Scroll down the next 5 pages in the 3rd gen threads or in the most used sticky thread. Look at how many posts there are, you'll know the one. All of your answers are there.
