It is a minor possibility. When I take these apart tomorrow, the driver side coil should be slightly longer correct?

Im thinking they are the same height, one is just a little stiffer. Easiest test is probably just take both assemblies out and switch them like someone else already stated. I got an old set I can measure and compare tonight if that would be helpful

That would be helpful! If I did accidentally mix them up on the install, wouldn't my driver side be the one that drooped and not my passenger?

My apologies you're right, I misread your original post. Easiest thing is probably to still switch the sides and sees what happens, but take pics of the assemblies if you can so we can see whats going on

No worries, it still worth a try. I'm going to try and take some pics so I can document it tomorrow, but I seem to have a problem with doing all the work and then not thinking to take pictures until after the work is done.

The old coils from my 99 both measured right at 15" uncompressed so there's not much way to tell them apart. Hope this helps, good luck OP

Yeah, measuring the coils unloaded doesn't really tell you much. At least for these kinds of issues, it is all about how they behave with the weight of the truck on them.

    UPDATE:

Ok so I'm back from the shop, but my buddy flew in from Tx so I didn't have too much time to mess around.

Since I was short on time I decided to stick with just messing with the passenger side. I figure we've ruled out having the weaker spring on the driver side since the driver side is the one that is sitting higher.

Here is the Billy and coilover before taking it off and tearing it down. No obvious problems that I could find.
    IMG_1999.jpg

Here it is removed from the truck. Only thing out of the ordinary I found was the rubber on the spring plate was drooping down. Looked like when I put it together last week the plate must have twisted and compressed the rubber weirdly.
    IMG_2001.jpg

Tore the thing down and everything was where it was supposed to be. Coil was seated properly and snap ring was still in the correct position.
    IMG_2002.jpg

Put everything back together and made sure that the spring plate was seated properly so the rubber wasn't jutting out anymore, and then began the process of getting this thing back in by myself.
    IMG_2003.jpg

Took a cue from some of the other threads on here and stuck the bottle jack on the UCA in order to get the bottom bolt lined up.
    IMG_2004.jpg

Got everything back together and took measurements at the shop and once I got back to the house about 10 highway miles down the road. After the drive the springs have settled and the passenger side is still sitting lower than the driver but is within a half inch now as opposed to the one inch difference that it was. After tearing it down and reassembling the thing I couldn't find any thing wrong with it. So my only other idea is that the frame is slightly tweaked, causing one side to sit higher than the other. When we welded my bumper on we did notice some slight tweak-age of the frame, but you can't really notice it unless you are actually working under the vehicle. Any one have any other thoughts as to what it might be at this point?
