My bumper didn't come with instructions but I figured the ones I found online would work well enough. My gap at the fenders is about the width of my finger with no further adjustment on the driver side. Passenger side can come all the way to flush with fender though. Why is This? Also noticed the painted pieces below the headlights hit the bumper.

Noticed the side to side alignment is off. I don't know how that can be adjusted given the slots in the bumper only allow side to side. Truck hasn't been in an accident or anything to tweak the front end.

Here's the left side. Can fit my fingers through the gap

And right side, very snug fit

I have been told by very good fabricators that the tolerances on the factory assembly lines are a bit loose. So what fits perfectly on one truck, not so much on another. I think it looks great. I bought my demello several years ago and have been very happy with mine.

Sorry the instructions are supposed to be e-mailed and a copy shipped with the bumper.

TacoCat is right, the bumpers are made in a fixture but the front of all toyota's are a bit loose on tolerances. We've taken a bumper off one truck in our shop that didn't line up perfectly and then go on another truck and line up perfect.

The most common alignment issue height from left to right the driver side of the body always sits lower, due to weight and the super soft body mounts. Some are more extreme than others. Yours on the other hand just appears to need to be loosened and shifted to one side. We leave a fair amount of adjustment in the bumpers so this is possible. In extreme cases we sometimes shim the bumper or even the body mounts to make it line up perfect.

Note the body on frame designs do move a lot so if the truck isn't on perfectly flat ground you will see some differences as well.

To show how much the body and the frame move independent of each other here is a shot we took on a recent trip.

Thanks for the reply! I did manage to get the height identical but the curve on the inside of the bumper by the headlights is about a half inch wider on one side vs the other. I tried tightening the bolts in a different order to see if I could get it tighter but with no side to side adjustment I couldn't get any tolerance. Not a deal-breaker by any means, I love how this thing looks and seems extremely solid!

Nice bumper, you can try a washer behind the bumper where it mounts as a spacer.

You can use some small washers to adjust the spacing. If the R/L adjustment is off, a grinder bit can be used to shim out the holes so you have a little more play before you tighten it down

Nope, had to remove some braces under the grill but didn't have to cut anything (besides the fender liners)

I put a 20" KC bar under my hoop and currently running PIAA 510s for fog lights. Just ordered Baja Designs Squadron Sports to try in there, so I may be selling my PIAAs. PIAAs look great in there but I'm trying to get more light output
