Fabbed up a "hub" and tube structure to get it off the ground an inch. Custom cut piece of glass to match the tire. Mounted using 5/8th studs and lugs. Whole tire clear coated to keep it from rubbing off on pants etc.

Gentleman, this is the trophy truck beer holder. $1300 dollars worth of shiet for free. Sucked a few dicks but hey, who hasn't.

Did go up north yesterday with a good crew of Yotas. Rallied down to Sedona via Schnebly Hill.

    20170805_104451.jpg
My silver 2nd gen in the middle.

Met up with a couple friends in Land Cuisers and also ran through Broken Arrow yesterday between the pink jeeps. It was pretty fun. I need a high clearance rear bumper, me thinks (kept dragging the tow hitch/smitty recovery shackle).

    20170805_131013.jpg
It POURED rain right as we got to the top.

A few dudes did the crack up there... some more successfully than others.

    20170805_142031.jpg
My buddy Aaron and his 3rd gen T4R.

The puddle and mud in treads made it sketchy...

    20170805_140750.jpg

Buddy Pat. Was doing fine until his tire slipped and ended up doing this:
    20170805_141326.jpg

Some slight body damage. Needed a winch to help him out.

But our friend Robbie took the cake for the "uh oh, we have a problem here" award:
    20170805_140143.jpg
    20170805_140244.jpg

Got wedged on his slider and it bent the fucker up so he couldn't open his door after he got winched out as well! His exhaust also started blowing white smoke and his oil light went on... o_O It didn't clear up for quite a while.
    He was less than thrilled.

After that we went up to Jerome to the perfect weather and to drink on the top 3 steps in downtown.

    Saw this truck:
    20170805_163037.jpg

They had just put in a pair of horseshoe pits by the park.

    20170805_190512.jpg

Great way to end a pretty awesome day.

    20170805_185417.jpg

Spent a good part of today cleaning off the caked on mud and touching up my sliders that got some use too.

Also, how is it that when you're retouching your sliders and you think you're almost done, you find another scratch, and some rock chips and, and... I was sweating balls in my garage today for like 3 hours.

I've found the best solution to retouching your sliders is to not retouch your sliders

I'm sure it's flowing, that flows all the way into and across Tucson and all the washes around here have had water in them recently. When you thinking of going? I've been thinking about making a run out there..

I'm thinking in the next two or so weeks. I'm waiting for two photographer friends to get back from Belize. I'll shoot you a PM once I figure out a day.

It was a good time. They opened it up to 50 more people this year for a total of 350 trucks. Most of the people were 1st time to the summit. There were a TON of 4Runners there. Most of the vendors were there in a 4Runner. And damn, those 4Runner guys spend some serious cash on their rigs. They make most of the rigs here look like a bunch of broke asses but none of them see dirt ever. This was my second time going and my dad's 4th time. I don't think I'll go again. It's a great event but I've done the trails enough that I'd rather just go up there with some friends when it isn't so busy. I highly recommend the area if you've never been though. All the trails are mostly dirt roads or shelf roads without anything technical so any 4x4 taco can do them no problem.
