Ok I got a guys truck I'm interested in it's a 2014 tacoma trd sport and it's a lease. He said he would pay the taxes and his buy out is 25,999 everything would be done through Toyota financial. Is this a safe transaction and is it easy to transfer myself as a buyer. Also do you know if this is done at a dealership rather than on the phone? I want this truck but know nothing about buying someone's lease.

If it's a 2014 on a lease I would think it's coming off lease very soon. Why would someone be willing to pay the taxes for you to get his 'buyout' price? Something doesn't sound right about that.

I've never leased so maybe I'm wrong to question his motives.

Don't give any $$ to the seller. Go through whatever financial institution owns the truck.
