Does anyone have any experience with a Kelly Noah's tarp? I don't have a rack to attach an ARB style awning and looking for alternative solutions.

Checkout the Truck Camping Photo Thread. Somebody had a sweet Kelty tarp in there the other day. Start at the end of the thread and work backwards.

Not a Kelty specifically but I do use a big Coleman that I repurposed.

    Keep them coming tacomaworld.

@Drainbung & @nw_chris how long does it take to set up your awnings? I'm looking for something that'll set up in 5minutes or less by myself.

I think even setting it up the first time it didn't take more than 5 minutes. I'm really pleased with it.

Nice. How's it handle the wind? Also, is it the Foxwing that can be set up without the support legs or am I confusing it with something else?

It comes with guy wires and stakes for wind but I haven't had to use that yet. I don't think this one can be used without the legs, I can't remember which one that is though.

I keep a 12' Noah and a couple poles in the truck at all times - except when it's on the bike. Much more versatile than an awning. It's one of the best pieces of camping kit I've ever bought.

It's not very portable, but it works well for the truck and camper:

I'm considering doing something like this, but I don't have a canopy. I'm trying to see if I can rig a tarp so I can sleep in the bed...might be a tough one.

ARB 1250 just mounted to the back. Will be perfect since I use my tailgate as a workbench all the time.

I might need to do something like this. I like to sit on my tailgate and drink beer after mountain biking. Hydration is important, beer is importanter.
