Can you mount those lights where you have them but under that bar? So they hang down.

No. That's where they originally were. But since we rewelded the upright tubes further out, they no longer fit between the uprights and the end of the slat

ASAP, when you get your radio:
    1) turn your radio ON
    2) punch in the numbers: 1 5 1 . 9 4 1
    3) press the PTT button
    4) it will be pretty obvious if your radio will TX (transmit) or will not, but it definitely helps to have someone with another radio for verification!!!

    NOTE:
SOME of the Baofeng radios, for whatever reason, are not programmed to TX outside of the HAM bands? There is an easy fix, apparently, but you may or may not be able to TX outside of the HAM bands??? Regarding the fix, you have to get a programming cable (try not to get the cheapest one), then download software, such as CHIRP software...

Anyways, just try that freq ^above^ since that is the one that is going to be used for the San G. trip up in Big Bear!!!

@uhplifted for your light mount issue you could do something similar to my antenna mount

It simply slips under that top bolt and the metal is thin enough that it fits through the space between the side of the tail gate and the bedside.

Doesn't look perfect but works great for me

Doesn't work for 3rd gens as far as I know. The gap isn't wide enough.

Bummer - I guess the only other option is a metal bumper with a swingout... and an antenna mount

Measure it, the gap looks bigger in the photo then it really is. I want to says it's maybe 1/8th inch not sure off the top of my head

There's a reason why there isn't one of those being made for 3rd gens like there is for 1st and 2nd gens. I know you made yours yourself but fab places have them designed for it.
