I was looking through the forum and saw on a guys truck that he painted the trim that went around the radio. Curious if anyone else has done it as well and the process that you took along with the outcome. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

If you're talking about that Silverish trim piece around the radio and around the left ac vent, then it's pretty easy to use your hands to pop off the console. There are some screws that hold the trim in. Which you can remove and paint yourself. I plastidipped mine. I can attach some pictures later. The only thing is the left ac vent piece, when you pop they off you have to lower the steering wheel because a part of plastic surrounding the odometer etc comes with it.

Not me, as mine already came orange, lol - but can provide some DIY painting tips.

As said above, you could plastidip it, so you could always go back if you don't like the results; otherwise, for permanent change, I've always had pretty good results with krylon fusion for painting plastic. Just remove the trim piece, clean it with some rubbing alcohol, then lightly scuff it up with sandpaper, clean again, then once thoroughly dry, start painting. Do multiple light coats, or at least the first coat needs to be light, as in, you don't even need to fully cover it with the first coat. I like to add a couple coats of satin clear as well, helps prevent fading and gives it a more finished look. Also, good idea to wear gloves throughout all steps, as anywhere you touch with your bare skin will leave an oily reside and it's likely the paint will bubble or later flake off in that spot.
