wally worlds protein is probably the best bang for the buck. i do one scoop mixed with 1/2 whole milk and 1/2 water. same thing after the work out.

no-xplod is mostly caffeine. you will build a tolerance to it so youll need to keep adding scoops to continue feeling it. i dont like it.

good diet, working out, and making reasonable goals is what it takes.

I also did GOMAD for a little while...worked really really well...about to go back again for a little bit. That has TONS of fat...you've gotta work out like crazy or else it'll just turn to pudge. Most are good and will help build muscle if you are putting in the time.

    Just some food for thought...

For a different take on protein shakes, try mixing your powder with only enough milk to make pudding. You can go real light for a cake batter to more loose to get a pudding texture. Then eat it with a spoon. Why you may ask? Well, I dunno bout you guys bout (a) If you drink a few shakes a day, you miss eating (or at least I did). This kinda tricks your brain, you "eat" it, but it is still protein. (b) I a only near a blender before and after work. I hate that chalky texture, stuff never disolves like it does in a blender.

Also, if you like cottage cheese it is a great source of casein protein. (longer breakdown time, good before bed)

I've taken NO-Explode, but its not protein. I like superpump better. it tastes alot better and its not carbonated like NO-Explode.

I'm on MONSTER MASS right now. My goal iis to gain ten pounds of muscle. I already went through 2- four pound tubs of Optimum nutrition and didn't gain weight. After one tub of Monster Mass I gained five pounds. Im on my second tub and hope to reach my weight goal.

I use "ISO 100" - no carbs or fat, just lean whey protein isolate + all aminos

I have a friend who owns a nutrition company who gets me anything I want @ cost, so I have tried a lot of protein, like iso 100 the best

Syntha 6 is by far the best tasting

if you dont care about taste, go with whatever whey protein is the cheapest. as long as its whey, its all the same. i use to use GNC's brand of protein back when i lifted alot. i still lift just not as hardcore and i still drink those shakes from time to time. if flavor is an issue, go with muscle milk. its more expensive but so far the best tasting. I use to work at GNC so i've sampled alot of them. and if you can stomach anything, get bovine colostrum. i took it for a while but the taste finally got to me. i kept gagging it back up and having to re drink it. but its one of the most effective things on the market (assumimg you can still get it, i haven't looked)
