I got the TRD shift knob from Toyota, I forget what site I ordered from. But I've since changed out the TRD knob for a black ball from Speed Dawg.

Thats crazy! I feel like yours look a little darker. I wish my wife got excited about mods like your lady. She could care less. But she did say she saw a factory set up same color and she said "oh you have a long ways to go". It made me happy! :woot:

Here are a few pics to compare, maybe im just imagining. Either way I love them, and yours look great. I can't wait to see them mounted up!

I chose Pelfreybilt, and I'm glad I did. The completely hidden receiver and trailer electrical plug is dope. I read some folks had problems with their factory trailer electrical plug wires not reaching CBI's hole. Plus #pelfreybiltfamily. DM me if you want any specific pictures.

You are 100% correct. The CBI plug hole is too far out therefore, gotta go through and extend the factory harness, and cannot use factory license plate lights. Just minor things.. But Satin and Tyler are super awesome as is Mike who I will be camping with this weekend. I am definitely leaning towards the Pelfrey bumper. It's in stock so I can get it here, have it powder coated and on the truck in under a month. vs. CBI, wouldn't have it til likely December ish... Any pics you got, love to see them.,

I hate to rock the boat but the fab fours look very good and are more reasonably priced. With 4wheelparts discount you can get a very nice bumper for about $750. That is what I plan on buying.

non hidden hitch is a deal killer for me, it's a little bulkier than I'd like and I can get the Pelfrey bumper for cheaper than that.

They may be a different colour, not sure but look close! I'm definitely BEYOND happy with my choice after a year of decision making.. They were a surprise for her, she LOVES mods, cars, trucks, bikes, so she was really excited about these. Now to battle who drives what.. lol

Looks like your wife cares! lol wouldn't pose if not? lol

I almost went SR8 but the dish and width on the 9's was too much to not make a move.

Bottom line is ANY bumper is better than a plastic stock bumper.

That's awesome she's into it. My wife isn't in to the stuff but she supports me so that helps a lot. I always hear guys talking about having to convince the old lady or making secret purchases... My wife just doesn't under stand the need or want haha. As far as those wheels you cant really go wrong with scs products. I new I wanted the bead lock look. I also got lucky and Vin had a blemished set so I got a great deal and I didn't have to sit on a waiting list.

couldn't be more right about that! These stock ones are 100% useless and provide nothing more than some filler to cover the plastic. Be nice to know that my "ass" is covered

My choice is based on being a 100% on-roader so clearance is a non issue. I have no issues with the factory hitch location. If I did off-road I could see the need for clearance. I just cringe when I see a tailgater in my mirror. I guess I should just hope for a minor bump to pay for the new one. I know it wouldn't take much of a hit to wipe out the stock one. I just can't get over Toyota putting this mess on a "truck" and calling it a bumper. Maybe that explains the monster horsepower they supplied to get you away from an impending accident. Oh what a feeling.

Yeah, I do use my truck, frequently and while it is not a rock crawler by any stretch of the imagination, I have built it to be able to handle anything that I am willing to tackle in it. Having said that, when it comes to a new bumper, for me, I want something that is going to tuck in tight, provide clearance, look good and not have too much excess bulk to it. Really could care less about losing BSM, not a big deal to me, but I do want to keep my back up sensors. I've looked at most of what is out there, but part of this is also based on relationships that I have with the two companies I have narrowed it down to. That said, if there were a another option out there aside form those two that fully met the criteria, it'd be in the mix as well. But I am not one to cloud judgment and overwhelm myself with too many options. I set out my criteria, analyze what is out there and then narrow things down in short order.

Yeah, this stocker is a joke. Really not gonna protect a damn thing.
