Sorry if there is an answer for this already. Don't know how to move around the forum.

Does anybody know a little about the code P0330 knock sensor circuit 2 on the first gen v6 tacos. My truck is given me that code.
Also I am hearing a growling noise when I am pressing the acelerador around 2000 RpMs and super charger boost is around -5 to 1 pounds. Any ideas what I can do to fixed it.

had same issue with the knock sensor and decide to replaced, but when i reach to disconnect the old one i noticed the connector was loose and wasn't giving signal to the ecu.
so i would check if your sensor is connected properly or check for brittle cables since it gets pretty hot around the location of the sensor.

The growling noise you're talking about...does it sound like a loud rattling noise? How many miles are on your supercharger? It sounds to me like the supercharger may need a rebuild, it's recommended to rebuild them around 100k miles. Supposed to change the oil in the nosecone every 30k.

Yes it sounds like a rattling noise but some times it goes away. The truck is automatic and it only makes it under boost but when on higher boost it goes away. When on park or neutral no noise even when I press the accelerator.

Do you know, if is hard to rebuild them. Or do you recommend a shop that can rebuild the supper charger.

They told me I need from shocks and inner tide roads but I don't know if that could be causing the noise either.

Try changing the nose cone oil to get rid of the rattle. If you're interested in having your S/C rebuilt try these guys http://jonbondperformance.com/ They did mine three years ago and I've had no problems since.

As for the knock sensor code, I've heard stories of cracked wires, unplugged connectors, but in my case...I pinged the holy crap out of my truck going up the Continental Divide in Montana and I ruined my knock sensors. Replacing them was the only solution.

Was it a full rebuild? How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking? Trying to plan for the inevitable, lol

It was a full rebuild, and I needed my truck for a hunting trip, so I had them overnight it back to me...Here's the invoice. Total is about $1,180, but if you don't overnight it's $250 cheaper. Rebuild was done 9/2014 (a week before Elk season).

No problem. I also just noticed the "Expedited Labor" charge for $170. Take that off and it's even better.
