anybody elses truck in the shop??

so friday i get rear ended on my way home from the gym. i get out to see a civic pretty much underneath my trailer hitch. i almost cried. now my trucks in the shop getting worked on and im dealing with the insurance company. anyone else truck in the shop cause of someone elses stupidity?

 

Sorry to hear that. That sucks...... yeah I used to own a tundra and an elderly lady didn't see I was stopped at a red light and rear ended me in her lexus. Minor damage to the truck bumper but her lexus was under my tow hitch OUCH! Good Luck on the repair.

 

Been there, just as you...I got a black bumper out of the deal!

 

My 08 DC Sport is in the shop for the exact same reason.

I got rear ended by a Chevy Tahoe and pushed into a minivan. $14,500 in damages including a new frame.

Went in the shop in early March. They told me I wouldn't see it again until mid April......

I'm driving a 4-door Ram and don't like it.

 

i wouldn't cry to hard over a tacoma.....

but mine isn't in the shop....but i've pocketed 3k+ over the last 15 months due to three minor hits to the rear fenders and bumper. that's 17% of the purchase price back in my wallet. i don't believe i would have recouped those dollars at sale time.

couple of more dings, and it'll be paid for by the insurance companies of opposing drivers

 

My truck is in my garage on jack stands with the third member taken out and at the shop. My BMW is at the body shop do to this guy running over the front bumper while pulling out of a parking spot. :|

 

ya im really fortunate how this is turning out. im getting a new bumber, hitch, hitch brackets and new bed sides. insurance said that i dont owe a thing!! good cause the shop estimated it at 2k. and now theyre saying if everything works out right, i should be back in it early next week.
