Hello all. I'm Jeremy from Mobile, AL. I just picked up an 04 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6 Xtra Cab, SR5, TRD yesterday.

Not being a truck fan, this is new to me. I have driven Acura TLs for the past 6 years, both a 2000 and a 2001. Due to having a house now and a jetski, it was practical to get a truck. I chose the Toyota based on reliability and its looks. I would have loved to have had the 4x4 but I found mine and liked it alot. I am trying to get used to driving a truck. I miss my leather seats, climate control, and the comfortable, quiet ride. This thing is somewhat fun to drive though.

I have some family in the car bus., so I was a little educated going in about what to pay. My uncle ran an auction report and said to pay no more than $10,800. Well I did pay a little over that....got it for $11,300. These are high demand, hard to find trucks that bring some stupid $! I knew I was getting something decent. Miles are a little on the high side at 108k, but I loved the fact that it had the SR5, TRD, those particular style wheels, the color, all power options loaded out, and of course, the V6. It also has the bedliner, factory hitch, and these tube-style running boards/bars.

I was about $500 off from what I wanted to pay, but I bit the bullet and bought it anyway. I figured I'd cough up the extra $500 rather than take a gamble having a family or friend go to the auction and find me something that may not be exactly what I want. I got it at a little car lot that sells high end stuff. It's a 1 owner vehicle, Southern truck (no rust), and not a scratch on it. I felt like I did OK on it.

I'll be on here alot as I'm new to these. I need to get some all weather floormats, an extra key/remote, and an owner's manual.

I just tried to post pics using the "insert picture" feature, but they did not upload. I will try to upload them to my gallery. Edit...doh! Read the instructions. This forum is slightly different than another one I'm used to. Check my gallery.

Welcome to TW. Congrats on the Truck.
Before you buy all weather mats, Consider the Weathertech Floor liners or Husky brand floor liners. They offer much better protection!
.. and be prepared... once you have been on T.W. for awhile, you are gonna want to mod the shit outta your truck!

Thanks everyone. No, don't own a TL1000R. When I first started using forums, I had my 2000 Acura TL, so my forum ID was my initials and 2000 TL, which I no longer own. I just stuck with the name.

So did I grossly overpay for this truck? I thought I did avg or OK on it.
