The hard thing is that he has eaten a lot socks in the last 9 months and then this mask happened. Ya I hope he gets better fast.

Our pug Charlie was 6-8 months old when he ate a palm nut and blocked his intestine.

Could see it clear as day on X-ray.

    Had surgery and recovered fully.IMG_0186.jpg

    Thanks. He's 4 now, 20 pounds bigger.

We stressed at the time too. But the vet was matter of fact about it and it turned out OK.

Hope Drake is feeling a bit better.

Riley had the pukes followed squirts a couple of times. Barium study too. Nothing found either time.

I feel fortunate because another lab puppy was in after eating cat shit from a cat box along with the litter-that turns into cement in the intestine.

Anyhow, all the best for a speedy recovery for your pup!

Four months old and approaching 30 lb.

    20170806_220241.jpg

More training. Mastered the really basics and fetch. Off-leash really leaves a lot to be desired.

3 mile run in the morning, obedience and puzzles tonight. Day two for rolling over and belly crawling.

Make sure you research running with puppies before running 3 miles with a 4 month old. 20 minutes is probably max for a dog that age.

As for off leash, keep a pocket full of their food as you head in the field. As they come back to you, give them one. You don't have to call each time as later on it will be annoying for you to have to keep calling your adult dog. They'll learn everytime they come back, they get a treat. My now 9 month old barely gets 15 yards from me. On the occasion he's locked in a bird, he'll chase it for a while, but always sprint right back.

    Good luck.

I would not run with a puppy for a long distance. Very hard on their joints and could cause problems
