Anybody had any issues with their interior AC switch? I do not get any air movement on 1, 2, or 3, but Max AC works great. Bad switch maybe?

Have you ever pulled it out of the dash by the knobs, etc? I had done that once (never do it again) and it broke on of the metal tabs on that hold the selector to the board. It works but I had to tape the knob to the board to keep the setting current. I ended up grabbing one off ebay as I did not feel like trying to fix it. If you remove your knob it could be that 1 or more tab is broke and loose. Check that out as that was my experience on my truck.

I have not. I was hoping for a more solid solution before tearing in to it. From some other research I found that it could be a blower motor resistor.

Without pulling it out, is the knob loose? If not then your other cause may be more likely. You can find these whole nits for $80 from LQK or whatever the company is that sells a ton of parts. Not sure if you are swapping out to Matte Black it blacking out interior but if your lucky you will find a Matte Black one instead of the Shiny one. That is what I ended up with (unintentionally) which was a bonus as I had just swapped my silver for the base matte black trim pieces. Just search around as most are priced around $2-300 but plenty for $80ish if you wait.

Here is a link to one. Tacoma Climate Control. Just search for that and you'll get some results.

My bet is on the blower resistor. Under the dash on the right side. Wiggle the conector with the switch on 1 of the slower speeds. If it comes to life, you need to replace the resistor and wiring pigtail.

At the top of the 2nd gen forum there is a list of sticky threads, this one is a pretty helpful resource
