Bushwacker fit and finish is pretty good. I think they might look weird though if your not running larger/wider than stock tires.

Great PDR ($50-100) then black vinyl in the same color from 1/2" above the damage down to the pinch weld. It is super low on the truck and you will never see it again.

I spent my college years doing PDR. I can get that pretty smooth. Definitely not perfect but smooth enough to cover it in vinyl.

I spent my high school years working at
in-n-out, but I don't claim to be an expert at making hamburgers.
There isn't a pdr guy that would take that job, much less for $50-100
It's on an edge and multiple body lines, and it's down to bare metal.

I would take that job on knowing that it would never be perfect and covered with something when I was done. I'm not going to argue, but when I couldn't get someone to fix my wife's 4Runner with a curled door edge without doing bodywork I pulled the tools out of the attic and fixed it myself. You have to look pretty hard to see it now since it is so low on the door and no paint work needed to be done. I would have put a paint colored vinyl patch on it but it turned out pretty good.IMG_2994.jpg

This is the good side. There is a slight line from a front angle, but it is low and you only see it if you are looking for it. And at the end of the day, if someone wants something done and the tools are still in my truck, I am an easy going guy. Lots of pdr done for friends for nothing.

Of course anything can be made better with enough time and effort, just like you did with your wife's 4Runner when no PDR guy would do it.
That's the point I think you're missing. He's not going to find a guy to take on that job, and for what your telling him it would cost. And even if so, the improvement would be marginal, so they would not even want to try.
