Not worth it for me either, but they're still sweet. If I was shooting a lot of AR's, or shooting one AR all the time, it might be worth it. And it's definitely large enough to fit handguns too, so if you shoot a lot it might be a decent investment.

Even then, not worth it TO ME, others may feel differently. I shoot my AR suppressed and shots hundreds upon hundreds, if not thousands of rounds before I clean it.

 

Only the very expensive blued parts should be cleaned that way. The rest should be taken down to the river, soaked, and then beaten on rocks.

Still rocks, I think. Maybe call the manufacturer and ask what they recommend, though. That way you can be absolutely sure.

 

Ok they said that since it has the supressor sights on it that it should only be stainless tumbled so you dont screw up the magazine release

 

I'm the opposite; I only shoot my AR every so often, so every time I shoot it I break it down and clean it, because I don't know how long it'll be sitting in the safe before I take it out and run it again.

Yeah, well, what do they know? They're using a 100+ year old design that they copied from somebody else.

 

Yea, see I shoot weekly, so I am not cleaning each time. So much work for me lol.

 

I typically shoot every weekend or so, but usually just my carry gun, the .22 rifle to keep my eye in shape, and maybe something else depending on my mood. Doesn't take long to clean stuff like that.

You guys think its worth the extra money on a nice charging handle? I'm kinda up in the air on getting either a $13 handle or a fancy $60ish Raptor handle

 

I have a big on in my wash room that works.

Ambi handle and Ambi controls all the way, for many reasons.

 

$13 handle, and then get the extended pole handle on the end, or what I said above
