Hella Horns?

Anyone installed Hella horns in their 3rd gen? I think the supertones or sharptones would be the same setup/process.

 

Nobody's put in aftermarket horns with all the modding done here? They add 5 hp btw.

I just put on the Sharptones in the factory locations. I basically did what Nitori did in the link above. For anything with two horns already you don't need the positive splitter cable. You can just add spade connectors to the factory positive wires and bend the connectors on the horns straight back to get the OEM wires to reach.

They are more noticeable than the stock horns, mostly because of their distinct tone, but I'm not 100% convinced they're much louder. From what I've read on a couple of forums they're pretty directional so maybe I just need to stand right in front of them to test it.

 

I have a pair of Hella Reds, factory wiring used and no problems so far. I have them in other vehicles. People stop whatever they are doing when these horns are used.

My experience has been the same since I installed them 6 months ago regarding loudness.
