Where should we hit next??

 

Im itching for some Walnut Creek fun! Its been a long while since I rode it and now I have the route on teh bike computer... so should make it easier to navigate. I always want to run Slaughter Creek and i need to get some redemption for my crash at MFSP... those are my choices for during the week. The others listed above would be a weekend trip due to length of time to drive out there

 

Im game af!!!!

I might as well bring the bike along with the kayak this Sunday

Wherever we go might have a trail to rip!

Speaking of, did we ever figure out what lake spot we are going to?

 

I think @ryanbitt suggested Lakeway City Park. Outside of this, I am unaware. I figured yall will work it out and ill show up

08/02/2017 - We continued further into Lincoln National Forest and gained about 1000' in elevation. The temperatures are much cooler at this elevation and the primary reason for the trip, to escape the summer heat. We enjoyed some dinner and went to start a fire, but the wood was still wet from Monday nights storm. So, I busted out the handy propane camp fire and we enjoyed it at 7300'. It was windy and cold and we slept quite well. The morning would bring its own new challenge, but for now, we are all good!

08/03/17 - Continuing with pics from the last trip, we woke up at 5 Points Vista and realized the battery had died over night! I left my ecig charging on an inverter and it used all remaining power. We were stuck! Luckily we had our bikes and so we rode 14 miles back to Queen, NM where we ran into a local who drove us back up and jump started the truck! Huge props to Janet for saving our asses! Our plans changed and so we headed back to Guadalupe Mountains to make our drive home shorter the next day. In the end, it was a great trip with memories that will last forever!!!

4/25/17 - I got the @XPOTRPR mount sanded, primed, painted, the hole cut, and it all mounted up in the cab. This replaces the useless drivers side cubby that is too small for most things. Im really happy with how this turned out. Its another product from an awesome TW member!

Duuuuuude! That and also that we had been building up endurance for longer rides this whole summer!

I'm super thankful it worked it. Could have been way worse

 

Convenient. Now it just turned out to be a good story

Tell me about it! Lol I crashed hard last time I rode with Chad... was feeling confident and then took a handlebar to the neck

It was a super unique ride! If we ever make it back here with 2 vehicles, we should leave one down and ride up with the other so we can fly down the moubtain
