Hello all, first post, just got a 17 trd sport dclb and I love it. I will be using the truck to haul a lot of dirt and raw material and was wondering if a product exists. In my old tundra I would empty the bed of wood chips or dirt and tons of it would get stuck in between the end of the bed and the tailgate when folded down. Its always a pain to clean it out and sometimes rocks etc will be stuck in between when closing and damage the bumper, tailgate, or hinges. I usually use a tarp and lay it in before loading but was wondering if anyone makes something that would lay down across the gap each time I open the tailgate. If not I was just gonna get a bed liner mat and have it pulled up when I load dirt etc. Any help is appreciated!

An old feller near me had a product that attached to his tailgate and was basically a "roll-up" tarp..... He would lay it in the bed before loading firewood and then when he got home, he just dropped the T/G and turned this crank and all the firewood would just slide out and leave the bed very clean...

Neat product, but I do not know more about it..!! No unloading by hand...

Google something like "truck tailgate gap filler" and there are a number of products.

It's a common problem when hauling gravel, bark, or anything small enough to find its way into the gap between the tailgate and the bed.
