I talked to the dealership the other day and they sell and install readylift 3/2 kits with zero issues.
I have a mall crawler/pavement princess that I pretty much use to haul dogs around.

    Any thoughts/suggestions?

(I know most of you hate the block spacer thing)

spacers are fine, just remember your shock tower will bottom out before you hit the bump stop so keep that in mind.

What do you mean they sell and install the kits with zero issues?

Do you mean they install them correctly (I would hope so), or do you mean they install them and the vehicles they install them on don't have issues afterwards?

Majority answer here will be to not do it with suggestions of 5100's etc.

Worth mentioning that there have been a few threads here of blown suspension directly resulting from spacer lifts, although the application was off road I believe.

THIS. 100% this. Just do it right the first time and don't regret it.

Plus, you'll spend that much once you break something using the spacers anyways.

Even if you never go off road, spacers will have a negative impact on ride quality. I doubt they'll include the UCAs, which are needed at 3 inches to maintain alignment and not put extra stress on the rest of the suspension. They'll also probably overcharge you by several hundred dollars. You're much better off just getting a basic 5100 setup with UCAs, meeting some other TW members and getting them to help install in exchange for beer.

Or since we are exploring options, you could leave it stock.

BTW, it's always helpful to mention specifics (year, model, miles) on your truck in these kinds of threads. We don't know what we are discussing here, as your profile is bare.

Tip: If a dealer sells/installs something aftermarket, it's for profit oriented reasons........... not because it's a high quality item.

If you decide to proceed, give Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road a jingle and see what she recommends.

    2017 DCSB OR 4x4
    ARE Canopy
    Everything else stock
I'd like to gain a little more height, canopy puts it pretty level already
Already had a few emails w Marie, got her recommendations.
My biggest hurdle is install and sage, unbiased advice.

Look in the regional sections and see if there is a mod day coming up or just ask of anyone is available. TW is usually pretty welcoming and there's bound to be someone in your area with tools and space. If you happen to be in Tucson, I've got a large flat driveway and all necessary tools to install a lift, it's not the most comfortable at 98 degrees though.

3" spacer lift is bad business.

Ask the dealer what they do to prevent the shock from becoming the bump stop after they install the spacer. If they don't know or if they say nothing, run. :annoyed:

I have one of the ready lift spacer kits, got it cheap and figured what the heck. From my experience with driving with it for about a year and half are as follows.

(-) Alignment has hard time staying aligned as my tires are cupping.
(+) Ride did not change at all in quality. It rides the same as my stock TRD OR.
(+) looks cool for now and I'll remove front ones when I upgrade shocks later. Rear ones I'll probably leave and just upgrade shocks. (Filthy Motorsports recommended this for my application) unless I buy AAL or new rears.
(+/-) off-roading did not hurt performance and didn't really help except for added ground clearance.

They serve their purpose. Now that I've been bitten by the off-road bug I'll be replacing my shocks sooner rather than later which mine will come off.
