$5 per vehicle to park which goes to a charity/organization (see below). This also gets you a raffle ticket for a Autozone bucket of stuff and things. Additionally, this month, PUPPIES!

**As always, it is not expected for anyone to bring anything; i.e. food, drinks, stickers, patches, etc. Anything brought is greatly appreciated, but you are still allowed to partake even if you can't bring anything **

For those who haven't attended before, generally we all pitch in and bring various items for cooking bacon, tacos, bacon, coffee and... uh... bacon. It is a community effort and as stated above, you are not expected to bring anything. You are more than welcome to still enjoy a Taco, beverage and enjoy the company of others.

T&T Part Deux: Park/Lake Meetup

We discussed last T&T about moving the gathering to a potential meetup at (location blank) @Texoma where did we discuss . Chris (not you @jmdaniel ) was saying we will need a good indication TODAY of who wants to go so he can pick up guest passes. If we don't have a clear number we will have to choose another location. Different from the place I can't remember . anyway... This would just be a fun meetup to get out of the direct heat of the parking lot, hang out some more, grill, drink, swim, etc...

Finally a break in the action here. Updated with @CarmenSanDiego Lake ideas seem like we're still uncertain. will look back through here for all suggestions and post up so we can finalize.

 

Last idea was Lakeway City Park... it's free. Also, maybe heading out earlier from TNT and convoying it down in grand fashion

 

aight. and I stand by suggestion of 9-930 convoy roll out if possible to secure a group spot before it fills up. If it does. dunno.

But I'm down for Lakeway Park. I just wanna grill and chill in the water

Very nice. When is leg day happening again? what was the update there?

 

I leave the 285's off unless I'm going to wheel. The daily wheels and tired are considerably lighter and ride better for long distances. I am going to upgrade the daily tires to 285's when they wear out in the next few months. Planning to put Nitto Ridge Grapplers on but I also am trying to find a set of wheels I like. My daily wheels are super tucked in and I think they look ridiculous but they were on it when I bought it.

 

I should do that... but we just roll the 285's daily. Skinnies on the Taco

 

At 100lbs a corner you feel the difference with the different set of wheels. I'm armored up like a tank(and looking for more)so weight reduction for daily driving is nice. I also haven't bought tires because I need new LCA's so I'm trying to get through this month where I'm traveling every week and its my birthday and everything so I can buy LCA's and aftermarket UCA's and do it all at one time too. Really its just one LCA bushing that is messed up but I figured for the cost(and trouble)I am going to just replace them. Just about to roll over 90K miles(probably this weekend)so it deserves a little loving.

 

In all reality or Runner is just a DD, so it should have some lightweight wheels and small tires, but It came pre setup. Maybe when they wear out I'll go back to P rated at least. Pretty much only pulling 17 mpg average on it. not too bad but not the best. and eventually it'll get some armor so we'll see.

 

Yeah with the 265's I get about 20MPG hwy so driving to Austin or to San Marcos it's great on gas. Also...might get a wild hair and show up to coffee and cars in the Cadillac.
