Are tires covered under factory warranty?

    none yet/none planned! It's perfect!
    Back in my younger years I would have found a place to patch it but in my wiser years I would buy a new tire.

    Your probably right. I've just done it without having an issue. Doesn't mean someone else will be as lucky.

    on my previous truck I had a nail in the tire that wasnt even that close to the sidewall, less then an inch from the side on the main threads, but i was told they wouldnt fix it. Of course it was covered under a road hazard warranty so I didnt care, since I was getting a new tire. Its really not worth having a blow out on the highway, risking an accident, or causing a accident to a car that may be following behind you with the tire shrapnel. I have seen some major damage to vehicles from the tire itself during a blowout ripping out the wheel well guards, mud flaps and bending the metal around the fender.
