Received my TRS morimoto HID lighting kit today. The kit they sent is top notch. Relays, H11 adapters, ballasts and igniters nicely packaged. Installation is plug-n-play, it actually took me longer to cable manage than it was to plug it in and test fire it.

I got the 35 watt ballast with 5500k bulbs.

Took the truck out tonight for a test drive and holy crap the light projection is amazing, nice hotspot in the middle, the distance is so much better now.
    Here's the kit laid out:

    Just the lo beams on:

This is with the Rigid LED fogs on:

Looks great! I installed the 50w kit shortly after purchasing my '17 and it makes a huge difference. Just ordered the same 35w kit for the GF's 4Runner. Looking forward to seeing how they do in the T4R projectors.

Did you get the h11a or h11b?
Also, the optional capacitor link and/or carbon brackets? (are they necessary?)

Same. I've had the itch to add LED high beams and turn signals recently though..

If I recall correctly, H11B, no capacitor, standard brackets. Although I get the faintest amount of flicker on ignition of the lights. Not sure the capacitor would help..

I didn't get the capacitor or the carbon brackets, they come with metal brackets and I was fine with that. Got the H11A

Me too,I may get LED high beams bulbs, I just wished we can get resolution on LED turn signals without getting the hyper flash

It wouldn't be as simple as picking up a new blinker module to regulate the hyper flashing? Did that on my 2008 and it took care of it. Plug and play and only $20.

That's what I've been reading from other car forums, I would think you can pick one up for the new Toyotas that have LED turn signals but no one has tried it yet

This isn't the one I used, but the same idea. I had some questions on their T4R switchbacks but I'll ask them about turn signal upgrades for us and see what they recommend.

It’s the position of the bulbs external wire when installed in the projector. The H11b is recommended for the Tacoma. The H11a is supposed to make a shadow in the projector or something like that.
