    Does it have a pin code #? I dont think you can turn the flash off, just put some tape over it;) I skimmed the instruction manual and theres something about certain hours you can program it to take pics.

    Sometimes cameras will give an error with an sd card that is too large or when there is no sd card at all. If you have a 4 gig or 8 gig card try to put it in there and see if that helps. Worst case scenario tape over the flash will work! Interesting that it has an IR emitter and a flash, never seen one like that.
