Hi everyone! Finally got myself a new vehicle, and went with a Taco! There's been plenty of Toyota's in the family (71 pick-up that got totaled, Tercel that I totaled when I was 9, and a 91 Previa that's still freaking going with 404 on the original tranny and motor), and now there is the Tacoma! #savethemanuals

I've had it for a couple of weeks and I've been quite happy with it. Looking forward to exchanging ideas with everyone and see projects :)

Since these threads suck without pics....

Welcome aboard! I'd be interested in the story of how you totaled the Tercel when you were only 9! Congrats on the new truck. Looks good.

    So the Tercel...

I was playing with a friend in the garage. We climbed into the Tercel (which was a manual) and I started playing with the hand brake. I released the hand brake, and then we climbed out of the car to go do something else. Car rolled out of our garage right into a huge maple tree . Smashed the back window and chewed up the roof quite bad. Everyone was fine, besides my uncle who was just pulling into the driveway when the Tercel rolled out of the garage and nearly hit him (he nearly pooped himself lol).We were getting ready to get a more family friendly car already, so that kick started that process.

We still have the Tercel, but it's in no way street legal. My dad chopped the roof, and put a "rumble seat" in the trunk for driving around our dirt track in the backyard. Next time I'm over there, I'll snap a picture of the creation. It's a great way to learn to drive stick ;)
