Is it during acceleration, or does it just lose power going a constant speed.

Good to hear. Hard to diagnose when its a random cutout like that. Usually they just lag at low rpm and dont make any power till you get to the 4 grand mark. Let us know how it goes

I had something similar around 70. Cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body. Replaced the spark plugs and wires. One of them fixed the problem, but it felt great afterwards.

All in all, about an hour of work.

Clean your MAF. If this doesn't work, then check/replace your throttle position sensor.

Toyota doesn't sell the TPS for 03/04 Tacoma's. Gotta buy the whole dang TB! $$$$!

Believe it or not, I was actually able to find one brand new. Direct replacement! I think I bought it on ToyotaPartsDeal.com... I think. It wasn't cheap though.

I will check for you and post. I still have the box for it and I am sure the P/N is on it. It is a Toyota OEM part, so it is the real deal. I will double check and get back with you guys.

I cleaned the MAF, the throttle body, replace ALL the vacuum lines, and a full tune up (all 6 plugs, wires, air filter and fuel filter). Truck runs like new!

The four pin TPS part number is 89452-22080, this is for the 2003 V6. It looks like I did buy it through ToyotaPartsDeal.com. Their prices aren't the lowest, but I have been able to get nearly everything through them, even parts I couldn't find on other sites.

    FWIW...
