Does anyone know if the oem 2016 4runners tpms is compatible with a 2014 tacoma? I just swapped my steelies for a set of 2016 4 runner stock alloys

tpms sensors are usually universal, the only thing your gonna have to do is have someone program it once you put them on your tacoma

I have no experiance with this, but I have read numerous posts that say 3rd gen Taco sensors are not compatible with 2nd gen Tacos.

So, in the case or your intended swap, probably not gonna work.

Edit: DOH! I got suckered by a "1 post wonder". He didn't get his answer in 21 minutes and he aint never comin' back.

I'll stick around if either of you or someone else replies. :)

I too wish to upgrade my 16" steelies/tires for my 2012 Tacoma with 16" or 17" alloys from a Tacoma, FJ Cruiser, or 4Runner. However I have yet to find a good "take-off wheel swap helper" or FAQ thread, so I posted this link:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ility-re-take-offs-across-model-years.505765/

As far as I can tell from reviewing other threads:

    1) 3rd gen Taco TPMS's won't work for my 2012 2nd gen; any 3rd gen wheel will need new TPMS sensors to work on my 2012
1a) any 2nd gen taco alloy wheel with original 2nd-gen Taco TPMS sensors will be drop-in for my 2012
1b) I'm trying to determine exactly what model/years FJCruiser & 4Runner wheels will be drop-in for my 2012

    2) the TPMS sensors in my 2012 16" steelies are not swappable into any any 16"/17" OEM alloy wheel, be it from a Taco, FJCruiser, 4Runner.
