Yes another new member asking help. I researched old threads but can't find the right answer.

    specs:
    99' TRD XTRA CAB 3.4L V6 Manual 106,000miles

When I cold start my truck it has trouble engaging reverse, the clutch doesn't engage until late and then a clunk and will allow me to reverse. Once the truck is warm or the weather is decent I have no problem. Is there water somewhere or is my clutch starting to go? No problem with first gear, no check engine light, overall clutch doesn't feel different in any other gear except reverse.

    Thanks for any help,

    JB

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Try changing the tranny gear oil.

That is weird with the clutch.

Also reverse is the only gear that is not synchronized so it can be harder to engage. You just have to shift into another gear first then try again and it should go.
